Jesus secured the VICTORY

1 Corinthians 15:57 "But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Who doesn’t love a victory? We are a people that strive for victory. To be the one who wins and claims the trophy is a goal in so many areas of our lives. When the victory comes many give the glory to God and we thank Him for the ability to claim the victory. Think of all the people cheering in the stadiums and in the arenas throughout the world. All are there for the victory. The crowd goes wild when victory is at hand.

The victory that Jesus Christ gives to us is the most important victory of all though. His victory is over death. No matter what happens on earth it is that final victory that will make all the difference for each one of us. Only those who choose to ask for forgiveness and to accept His sacrifice on the cross and promise of eternal life can have the victory He offers to each single human being. It is the win that every heart should need and want for themselves.

Deuteronomy 20:4 "For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory."

Life on earth gets really complicated and scary at times. We fight against the evils of the world and seek peace and comfort from our Lord. Knowing that He is beside us in the fight and knowing that He will give us victory when we keep our faith and trust in Him brings that peace that surpasses all understanding. Sometimes we cannot see the end of the battle just yet, but we can feel His tender loving care as Holy Spirit calms us and whispers victory in our ears. God is with us and we give thanks.

In the weeks ahead hold your banner high in the battles knowing our King goes before us to bring the victory. Watch and see Him claim the win for you and give Him thanks and glory!
