Majesty: Beholding the Greatness of God

1 Chronicles 29:11 "Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all."

The word majesty brings to mind royalty. People bow and pay great respect to those people who are considered royalty. When we envision royalty, we think of crowns and jewels, great wealth, castles and lands that are ruled by a monarchy.

Now let’s read this verse again and think of God. The God who created the heavens and the earth. The God who formed and created mankind after his own image. The God that made mankind the head over the earth and all that is within it. The God that loves his people and continually cares for them. The God who does not want to live without his chosen people therefore he sent his only son to save them from themselves mostly. Yes, let’s think of that God and the majesty he holds.

We can thank our Majestic Father God for all that he has done for each one of us day after day and year after year and it will still not be thanks enough. We can bow before his majesty and offer praise and worship for all that he has done, and it will still not be enough. We can work hard and long to try to give back to our Lord who has given us freedom from sin and death, and it will still not be enough. There is nothing we can do to repay our Lord or earn a spot in the Kingdom of God.

So, we come before His Majesty the Lord God, and we bow at his feet to humbly offer our lives before him. Each day we see his majestic beauty all over the earth and in the faces of those we love. We acknowledge his grandeur and his beauty in how the earth continues to spin day after day and year after year as we learn more about our King and his majestic eternal kingdom.

1 Peter 2:9 "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;"

What a miracle to be able to see the majesty of our God and to be able to know that his love for us is always with us. Stand tall and be filled with faith for His Majesty the Lord God walks with you through all of your days. You have majestic royalty in your blood once Jesus Christ became your King and Savior. Praise and glory and honor to him alone.
