Where does our STRENGTH come from?

Isaiah 40:31 "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Don’t we all have days our well of strength goes dry and we cry? Seasons come when we fall on our knees in prayer for the Lord to help us and give us strength even only for the day with hopes for the days to come. Old and young alike need added strength at different times and for different reasons. Sometimes it is strength for our bodies and sometimes it is strength for our emotions and our heart. Strength comes in many different forms, and we need strength in all forms to make it through our lives. Give us strength oh Lord to do your will!
Each day we go out into the world we can impart strength into others just by a smile or a kind word. We each have the choice of how to respond to others we come in contact with. Even when we do not have other people showing up in the day, we can pray for strength for those who are having troubles or who have not come to accept the Lord into their lives yet. When we are strong in the Lord, he can make the impossible become possible!
This verse in Isaiah 40 speaks of soaring on the wings of eagles which we can all visually see in our mind. Eagles are magnificent huge birds that have the extraordinary ability to soar and glide without flapping their wings for hours. They do not grow weary from all the needless flapping. We can draw strength from the Lord so that we also do not grow weary or grow faint in our walk with Jesus and we can soar with Him. We need to stop flapping and flapping and rest in the strength of our Lord who promises to renew us.
Mark 12:30 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength."
In the week ahead pray for the Lord’s strength to help you soar through the days. Remind yourself and others that needless wing flapping is not how we can become stronger. We become stronger by doing what the verse above in Mark says, love the Lord.
